1. In a large saucepan combine pasta sauce, half and half, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg and basil.
2. Simmer over low heat for 45 to 50 minutes.
3. Do not boil.
4. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
5. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente.
6. Drain in a colander.
7. Toss pasta with sauce and Parmesan cheese.
8. Serve immediately.
